Parikia

The main port of the island of Paros is Parikia and is the capital of the island which means that it has all the important shops, some of the best restaurants and cafes, and much of the nightlife, and with a population all year round to support them, many of them Businesses are open even in winter. It is also within walking distance of a number of beautiful beaches and is relatively flat, so that anywhere you walk far you can reach by bike available for rent and even provided free of charge in some hotels.
In the city center is the windmill that served as a tourist information center, but now serves only as a windmill in the graphic sense
In Parikia it has some important sights such as the 4th century Byzantine complex Panagia Ekatontapyliani, the Church of 100 Poros, one of the most impressive Byzantine churches on the islands and I guess it is one of the oldest in Greece. Nearby is the Archaeological Museum of Paros, which exhibits any of the ancient finds that had not been transferred to Athens. At the highest point of Parikia are the ruins of the Venetian Castle or fortress and on the waterfront is the Ancient Cemetery of the 8th century BC.
In Parikia, there are many cafes along the coast and on the main road leading out of town, where you can have your coffee and snacks.
The whole waterfront of Parikia is a destination as a walk that people in the summer evenings are used to crossing. There are many taverns, cafes and bars along the entire length.
On the east side of the pier is most of the nightlife. From the east side of the pier you can take buses to other parts of the island.

In Parikia is the beach of the city, called Livadia. Aroma Traditional Taverna on the beach next to the fishing boats serves a wide variety of interesting Greek dishes and on weekends has international cuisine. The restaurant is popular with locals and travelers who come to Paros every year.
