Pounta Beach

Pounta Beach is a large beach, southwest of Parikia, in the strait between Paros and Antiparos. In the strait that is 1.5 km wide the winds are usually strong, which makes the beach popular for wind-surfing and kite-surfing. Ferry-boats leave for the port of Antiparos from the port of Pounta (settlement). In the area there are cafes, taverns, kite-surf, wind-surf and diving schools. We should not confuse it with the cosmopolitan Punda (Punda Beach Club) located in the east of the island.
